Along the same lines as cast iron pans and manual kitchen tools, what items do you think are made more cheaply now? Or what things will you buy secondhand and older because they are better constructed than newer items?
I was thinking that it seems like items like spatulas and even flatware used to be better and stronger. I’ve bought a lot of plastic spatulas simply because they’re cheaper. But I have one metal one and I use it the most often. It’s pretty old.
