It’s an overcast Monday here. Our trees are still very late in turning colors. Usually our big maple in the back yard is a riot of flaming reds, but it stayed green for so long and now has only a bit of yellow creeping in. It might be because we only had on day this fall with temps below freezing… and that didn’t last very long. Anyway, it’s not the prettiest fall here.

Getting ready to go to infusion soon. It’s at a different hospital which is MUCH closer to us. Nevertheless, we are a bit apprehensive as it is all new… new people… etc. I ordered a special infusion shirt from Amazon and am wearing it today for the first time. The front and the back completely snap off each other. So the sleeves and shoulder all unsnap and the sides completely unsnap. I can now unsnap just the area for the infusion. But if they would have to add an IV into my arm, then that unsnaps as well. And if they have to look at the liver area of the abdomen, then that unsnaps. I think I’m going to like it.

The rest of the day depends on how I feel when we get home. I found a bit of shrub that I forgot to trim. It should only take 10 minutes, but again… I’ll have to see. My best friend is coming in a couple of weeks, and I need to make a menu list and shopping list. Right now we don’t need any groceries, so don’t plan on shopping for several days.

Supper… leftover langostinos and orzo, green salad and sliced apples.

The infusion shirt sounds helpful!

I’m glad you were able to login okay.

Also hope being at the new hospital goes smoothly. It’s nice that it’s not as far!

Matt has a dental appointment. I forgot about it. I don’t need the little fee for my forgetfulness, so he’s headed there soon. Oops sorry kiddo.

I made waffles for brunch. Fire chicken later. I should go food shopping, but probably tomorrow.

Oddly we haven’t been using as much of our water lately. Culligan delivers today and I still have 4 jugs. :open_mouth:We have been making juice and cider slushies. So tasty! No problem because we are headed into the holiday season.

Still working on a gazillion little things. Then one of my cameras isn’t charging. Who knows why!

Happy Monday!

I didn’t pass out the candy, but I’m guessing we had around 400-450 trick or treaters. There is very little candy left over.

Work is a little slower today. I finally got our benefits information in the mail. It looks like it’s only gone up slightly ($4/month for medical and $4/month for dental) but that they’ve also cut a lot of the extras. I’ll need some time to actually review it.

@Sara I looked up the Fire Chicken and they don’t sell it at my closest Costco, but hoping maybe they will at some point. They also announced that they are opening one in the Worcester area next year, which would hopefully mean like 15-20 minutes way instead of an hour away.

It’s so good considering that it’s frozen. You probably already know this, but you can request items to be carried at your local Costco. They’re pretty good here about carrying items that are requested. Pic in case I ever forget I love it. I always forget which frozen items I love. Like the frozen vegetables! I add zucchini and summer squash to mine. Sometimes broccoli or corn or peas.

Infusion went well except I got that prickly skin feeling again. So nothing new there. This hospital presented me with a quilt and gift bag. Their auxiliary makes these for the new cancer patients. Really tired, as usual, when we returned home, so took a long nap. And decided on an easy pot pie supper. Hopefully my energy will be back up tomorrow.!
