It’s really time for me to get new dinnerware. I’ve been considering not getting a new matching set and slowly buying plates and bowls that I just really like when I see them at the thrift store. But there is a small part of me that wonders if this is just plain weird. This isn’t because of the cost. Plates can be bought fairly cheap. I think I just like the idea of having different plates that I really like versus trying to choose one set that I will live with for the next who knows how many years. Last time, I was just so creative and bought white! LOL ---

No…not wierd at all! I know several people that have done that. When our nephew got maried.they used miss matched vintage looking plates bought cheap at thrift stores for the buffet plates. I do have a slight addiction to dinnerware and have a few different styles of sets of plates but not all the matching bowls and cups to go with. ---

I love eclectic and having different ones. besides you get a variety, I am like that with silverware (which came from my friend who moved to Alaska,) different days I prefer one over the other. OKAY maybe I am strange choosing which fork to use. ---

I have cute dinnerware but I want white! I’ve never had white and now in this faze of my life I want simplicity. ---

That sounds like a fun idea! Having things that you love and make you happy! I just bought an inexpensive set of all white. I like them. It just simplifies things in my kitchen some for me.
